Orthopedic surgeons Phil Davidson, MD, and Ken Zaslav, MD, are joining devicemaker Arcuro Medical.
Dr. Davidson will be medical director and chair of the company's scientific advisory board, according to a March 21 news release. He is a knee and shoulder specialist and has founded and worked for multiple orthopedic and biologic companies.
Dr. Zaslav will join the advisory board as a founding member with Dr. Davidson. Dr. Zaslav was in private practice in Richmond, Va., for 30 years before joining Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Arcuro Medical developed the SuperBall meniscal repair system, which received FDA approval in 2018. More than 500 surgeries with the device have been completed worldwide, the release said.
