Alan MacGill, DPM, a podiatric surgeon specializing in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, has been appointed to the board of trustees for HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Margate, South Florida Hospital News reported March 29.
Dr. MacGill is director for the podiatric medicine and surgery residency program at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital and serves on the board of directors for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, which represents more than 8,000 foot and ankle surgeons.
HCA Florida Northwest Hospital was one of 12 hospitals that rebranded on March 3 after affiliating with HCA Florida Healthcare, which comprises more than 11,000 physicians, 49 hospitals and 350 physician practices.
"We recently adopted a new name as we came together with more than 450 care locations under the HCA Florida Healthcare brand, and the facility continues to grow and improve to meet the needs of those we are fortunate to serve," Dr. MacGill said.
HCA Florida Northwest Hospital also appointed Nora Powell, PhD, dean of health sciences on Broward College's North Campus, to its board of trustees.
