Minnesota State University partners with 3D metal printer for bone implant development

Minnesota State University Mankato has partnered with 3D metal printing company Additive Technologies to develop improved bone implants according to a Sept. 9 release from the 3D Printing Network. 

The partnership will be led by Kuldeep Agarwal, MD, a professor in the department of automotive and manufacturing engineering technology. 

"Meltio's LMD technology is versatile, and we are seeing an interest in the medical sector from a lot of our customers. We are thrilled to be working with Dr. Agarwal, and this collaboration will help us understand the requirements and qualification standards for developing medical implants," Yash Bandari, MD, Additive Technologies' business development manager, said in the release.
