Medical device developer CurvaFix has added three new specialists with experience in orthopedic traumatology, pelvis reconstruction and fragility fractures of the pelvis to its surgeon advisory board, according to a Sept. 28 report from StreetInsider.
The board members will support CurvaFix's development of the CurvaFix IM implant for pelvic fractures.
The additions include Philadelphia-based trauma surgeon Samir Mehta, MD, former head of the department of orthopedics and traumatology at the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz Germany; Maria Rommens, MD; and the director of orthopedic trauma service at the North Mississippi Medical Center (Tupelo), Karl Van Osten, MD.
