1. Hospital for Special Surgery opened a location in Saddle River, N.J

2. New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery was named the No. 1 hospital for orthopedics for the 13th year in a row by U.S. News & World Report

3. Zimmer Biomet and Hospital for Special Surgery have inked a three-year deal to create the HSS/Zimmer Biomet Innovation Center for Artificial Intelligence in Robotic Joint Replacement

4. Sheeraz Qureshi, MD, was named co-chief of spine services at Hospital for Special Surgery

5. Hospital for Special Surgery is collaborating with Transcarent, an insurance company for employees of self-insured employers.

6. Four orthopedic surgeons from Hospital for Special Surgery — Alexander McLawhorn, MD; Geoffrey Westrich, MD; Amar Ranawat, MD; and Peter Sculco, MD — are ranked among the top 10 physicians for hip and knee replacement in New York, based on patient volume and experience, according to rankings authority Dexur.
