Zimmer Biomet saw a less than 1 percent decrease in third quarter sales and growth in its hip and knee revenue, according to results posted Nov. 2.
Four things to know.
1. Net sales were $1.7 billion, a 0.9 percent decrease from the same time last year. U.S. sales were $973 million, and international sales were $696.8 million.
2. Knee sales of $657 million represent a 1.4 percent increase year-over-year. Hip sales grew 3.1 percent year-over-year at $468 million.
3. The sports medicine, extremities, trauma, craniomaxillofacial and thoracic business segment saw a 6.4 percent decrease in year-over-year sales with $409.4 million.
4. Net earnings were $194 million.
