New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery will collaborate with Naples, Fla.-based NCH Healthcare System to bring orthopedic care to Naples and Southwest Florida.
As part of the agreement, NCH will build a facility that offers inpatient and outpatient care, an ASC that will be jointly owned and operated, and imaging and rehabilitation services.
The facility will be located on NCH's North Naples Hospital campus and is set to open in about two years.
HSS will bring orthopedic surgeons to the facility. This is HSS' second Florida partnership, with another in West Palm Beach.
"The NCH Healthcare System strives to ensure our community has access to world-class treatment, and this collaboration represents a huge step forward, not just with this mission but in advancing the field of orthopedic medicine as a whole," Jay Baker, a board member for NCH Healthcare System, said in an Oct. 31 press release. "This is an exciting opportunity to expand our reach and combine forces with another giant in the healthcare sector to deliver outstanding services to our patients."
