Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Ky. was named the first Advanced Orthopedic & Spine Center of Excellence in the U.S. by DNV, wdrb.com reported Dec. 12.
The designation recognizes organizations showing excellence in diagnostics, surgery and therapy related to orthopedic and spine care. Norton had to have three separate advanced certifications from DNV in at least three separate advnaced programs.
Norton Healthcare has DNV certifications in advanced hip and knee replacement surgery, advanced shoulder surgery and advanced spine surgery.
