OrthoPediatrics has established a direct sales organization in Germany that began operations Jan. 1 to expand the medical equipment manufacturer's global presence.
This is the company's first direct international organization, according to a Jan. 6 news release from OrthoPediatrics. For the last 10 years, the company has had a presence in Germany supported by distributors and sales agents. Now, it will have a more hands-on connection with the German orthopedic pediatric community.
OrthoPediatrics will offer its full line of products for trauma, deformity correction and spinal deformities in the German market, the release said.
"Having a direct organization in Germany will provide better insights on the unique needs of the pediatric community there, along with additional resources to meet the needs of our expanding customer base," Mark Karshner, senior vice president of OrthoPediatrics' international sales, said in the release. "With our growing presence we aim to enhance surgeon relationships and provide a deeper level of service that we believe will ultimately lead to better patient outcomes."
