St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange, Texas is closing its orthopedic clinic, among other services, as it seeks Rural Emergency Hospital designation.
Starting Feb. 18, St. Mark's will only offer 24/7 emergency services, patient observation and select outpatient care, according to a Feb. 13 news release. Besides orthopedics, inpatient, surgery, post-acute skilled rehab, ambulatory and speech services will be closed.
Rural Hospital designation will help keep St. Mark's open so locals can access emergency care.
