University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center is opening a $277 million orthopedic ASC in a former Henrietta, N.Y., Sears retail space on Feb. 21, according to a report from ABC affiliate WHAM Rochester.
The 350,000-square-foot facility was first announced in March 2022.
The former Sears holds 140 exam rooms, eight operating rooms, an imaging center and a physical therapy space.
Residents hope that the medical center will also bring more foot traffic to the mall, according to the report.
