Dr. DeClaire is a pioneer in robotic-assisted total knee replacements, recently completing his 30,000th procedure, according to a Feb. 13 news release shared with Becker's. He was the first surgeon in the world to use the OmniBotics system for robot-assisted knee procedures.

He is also director of the department of adult reconstruction and joint replacement program at the hospital.

As department chief, Dr. DeClaire will supervise the hospital's internal processes and manage protocols. He will also oversee the hospital's participation in the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative, which measures quality control based on joint implant successes, failures and complications, the release said.
