Dr. Steve Singleton performs knee surgery on Philadelphia Phillies player

Steve Singleton, MD, performed knee surgery on Rhys Hoskins, an infielder for the Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball, on March 30. 

Mr. Hoskins underwent reconstructive surgery on his left anterior cruciate ligament in Fort Worth, Texas.

He suffered the injury during a spring training game on March 23 while attempting to field a ground ball. 

Dr. Singleton is a sports medicine specialist at UT Southwestern Monty and Tex Moncrief Medical Center at Fort Worth. He also serves as the head team orthopedic surgeon at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. 

The recovery time for the surgery is seven to nine months, which will cause Mr. Hoskins to miss the entirety of the 2023 MLB season.
