FDA issues reminder of Exactech recalls

Orthopedic

The FDA issued a reminder about Exactech's recalled joint replacement devices, The Legal Examiner reported April 6.

The FDA's reminder says Exactech patients without negative symptoms don't need surgery, but they may be at risk for the implant failing sooner than it should.

In 2021 Exactech voluntarily recalled some joint replacements after the packaging wasn't correctly sealed. In 2022, additional implants were recalled.
