Steven Cohen, MD, performed knee surgery on Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Cristian Pache on May 1 in Philadelphia, NBC Sports Philadelphia reported.

Mr. Pache underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee after slipping past second base during a game April 29.

Dr. Cohen is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at Rothman Orthopaedics. He serves as head team physician for the Phillies and an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Flyers, the city's NHL franchise.

The surgery will cause Mr. Pache to miss four to six weeks of action, the team said.
