Charles DeCook, MD, was named chief innovation officer at Ospitek, the company said June 2.
Dr. DeCook will support the development of Ospitek's artificial intelligence and IoT-enhanced orthopedic surgical platform, according to a news release. He is a known expert in the field and has completed more than 10,000 joint replacement surgeries.
Ospitek's View platform is designed to automate surgical information and patient charting.
"His vast expertise, dedication to innovation, and deep understanding of our target market make him an invaluable asset for our team," Ospitek CEO Slim Souissi, PhD, said in the release. "Dr. DeCook's leadership will accelerate the adoption of our advanced surgical coordination platform, expanding our reach and transforming the orthopedic surgery landscape."
