Medical technology company Stryker has launched its new Ortho Q Guidance system, the only fully autonomous guidance system in orthopedics.
The surgeon controls the system remotely from a sterile field, according to a July 6 press release. The system combines optical tracking, a state-of-the-art camera, surgical planning and guidance capabilities.
The software works with Stryker's Express Knee, Precision Hip and Versatile Hip. Its software provides surgeons with additional clinical feedback, and its small footprint allows for use in the ASC setting.
