Charisse Sparks, MD, was named chief medical officer of Inspired Medical Systems, the comapny said July 31.
In her role, Dr. Sparks leads the company's medical and clinical affairs functions, according to a news release.
She earned her medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, and she completed her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Dr. Sparks has previous medical device experience with DePuy Synthes and AppliedVR. Inspired Medical Systems focuses on obstructive sleep apnea.
