Orthopedic One looking to relocate, increase workforce by 10 percent

Orthopedic

Westerville, Ohio-based Orthopedic One is looking to move part of its team to a new $20 million medical office building in Gahanna, Ohio, according to an Aug. 1 report from Columbus Business First.

The new development project would establish a two-story, 60,000-square-foot building that Orthopedic One would own. Currently, it leases 86,000 square feet at a space in nearby Columbus. The 215 employees working there would be relocated should a new build occur.

The company also expects to increase the size of its workforce by 10 percent within the next 10 years.

The construction project is contingent on local incentives, with the Gahanna city council considering an ordinance that would provide Orthopedic One with a 10-year, 80 percent abatement of real property taxes and a temporary reduction in shared income taxes.

The incentive would extend $1.87 million to Orthopedic One, according to the report. If all is approved, the new office could be completed as early as fall 2024.
