Dr. Keith Meister operates on Chicago White Sox pitcher

Chicago White Sox pitcher Liam Hendriks had a season-ending surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, the team said Aug. 2.

Keith Meister, MD, performed the Tommy John surgery at TMI Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery in Arlington, Texas, according to a news release.

Mr. Hendriks is expected to recover in 12 to 14 months.
