U.S. News & World Report has named its top 50 orthopedic hospitals in the U.S. for 2023 and 2024, including three hospitals in Michigan.
Here are some of the top leaders at the three best orthopedic hospitals in Michigan:
David Miller, MD, is president of the University of Michigan Health System, the 24th best hospital for orthopedics in the state. He has been president since the beginning of 2021 and is also the executive vice dean of clinical affairs for the UM Medical School. He is a trained surgeon and urologist.
Daniel Carey, MD, is the president of Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., the 41st best hospital for orthopedics in the state. He is responsible for strategy, development and operations at the 1,101-bed facility. Dr. Carey spent more than two decades as a practicing cardiologist and previously served as Centra's senior vice president and chief medical officer.
Thomas Lanni Jr. is the president of Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Mich., which is tied for the 41st best hospital for orthopedics in the state. He originally joined the system in 2007, moving his way up the ranks, and is now responsible for strategy, development and financial operations at the 530-bed facility.
