Professional basketball team the Boston Celtics is the most popular sports team in the U.S. based on the number of monthly Google searches the team receives worldwide every month, according to research from online sports website Betting A-Z sent to Becker's on Aug. 21.
The site ranked the 10 most popular sports teams by gathering the global search volume of the top 20 most profitable sports teams in the U.S.
