Orthopedic surgeon joins Copper Fit as chief medical officer

Struan Coleman, MD, PhD, an orthopedic surgeon with New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery, was named chief medical officer of Copper Fit.

He will provide guidance for product development in his role, Copper Fit said in an Aug. 22 news release. Copper Fit focuses on products for sports medicine injuries and support.

Dr. Coleman specializes in sports medicine and hip preservation at HSS, according to the hospital's website. He earned his medical degree at New York City-based Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency at HSS.
