1. Phoenix-based Banner Health acquired Phoenix Orthopaedic Consultants, adding four orthopedic surgeons and a nurse practitioner.
2. Johnstown, Pa.-based Conemaugh Physician Group acquired Western Pennsylvania Orthopedic & Sports Medicine in Southmont, Pa.
2020
1. Phoenix-based Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company acquired Stryker Performance Solutions' BPCI-A value-based care convener business and segments of the SPS health system orthopedic service line analytics subscription business.
2. Vail, Colo.-based Steadman Clinic acquired OrthoAspen (Colo.).
3. Conventus Orthopaedics signed a definitive agreement to acquire Flower Orthopedics, a developer of sterile-packaged foot and ankle implants, allografts and diabetic wound care products for orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists.
4. Mercy Health acquired Galena, Kan.-based Orthopedic Specialists of the Four States, addings its 11 physicians, including three spine surgeons.

1. Smith+Nephew acquired Integra LifeSciences' extremity orthopedics business for $240 million.

1. Conmed Corp. acquired Biorez, a startup focused on advancing the healing of soft tissue using its BioBrace implant technology.
2023
1. Boston Scientific acquired Relievant Medsystems, the company behind the Intracept intraosseous nerve ablation system. Intracept was added to Boston Scientific's chronic pain portfolio that includes spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation and an interspinous spacer procedure. Intracept recently earned national coverage from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna.
2. Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua Health's Virtua Medical Group acquired Moorestown, N.J.-based Reconstructive Orthopedics and its 300-plus employees, including 90 clinicians, making Virtua the largest orthopedic provider in Southern New Jersey.
3. Zimmer Biomet signed an agreement to acquire Embody, an orthobiologics company, for $155 million.
4. Bethesda, Md.-based Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics acquired Winchester (Va.) Orthopaedic Associates and its seven physicians.
5. Stryker acquired Serf SAS, a France-based joint replacement company. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.

1. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health finalized its planned acquisition of Paducah-based Orthopedic Institute of Western Kentucky.
2. Gunnison (Colo.) Valley Health is in talks to acquire ownership of some of Vail-Summit Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery's locations.
3. Enovis acquired LimaCorporate, an orthopedic implant company that was valued at $700 million. LimaCorporate will add to Enovis' orthopedic reconstruction market with products including the Trabecular titanium implants and shoulder revision devices.
