Here are two recent layoffs in the spine and orthopedic industry that Becker's has reported on since Jan. 9:
1. NuVasive is laying off 157 employees at its San Diego headquarters, according to WARN notice data from the state of California.
2. Rothman Orthopaedic Institute will lay off 5% of its workforce, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia-based practice told Becker's. The layoff process started Jan. 8.
