Stryker expands Prophecy surgical planning system

Stryker has launched an expansion of its Prophecy surgical planning system, Prophecy Footprint, that aims to offer surgeons comprehensive planning for the entire foot. 

Since its 2014 launch, the Infinity system, an implant indicated for total ankle replacement in patients with end-stage ankle arthritis, has demonstrated a 98.8% two-year survivorship, according to a Jan. 31 news release shared with Becker's

Prophecy Footprint is designed to help physicians with surgical planning by providing comprehensive procedural considerations that address concomitant pathology at the time of total ankle arthroplasty.

The Prophecy surgical planning system has been used in more than 60,000 ankle procedures globally since 2012, has saved an average of 38 minutes per procedure in the operating room and has delivered an average cost savings of $2,500.
