New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery named Jeff Wang as senior vice president and chief innovation officer, according to a March 15 LinkedIn post.
In the role he will streamline processes to bolster and accelerate innovation commercialization through the organization and create new ventures, the post said. Previously Mr. Wang was chief strategy officer and solution business leader for Philips North America. He earned his MBA at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business in Hanover, N.H.
HSS has leaned into innovation and artificial intelligence in recent months. In November, HSS received support from Schmidt Futures to advance artificial intelligence and machine learning efforts. HSS plans to create the largest curated musculoskeletal data ecosystem and make it available to interdisciplinary researchers.
