DePuy Synthes: DePuy Synthes is the orthopedic arm of Johnson & Johnson. In March 2023, the company announced its plan to restructure to grow its sports medicine and shoulder surgery businesses.
Enovis: Enovis is a medical technology company that focuses on orthopedics. In January, the company completed its acquisition of LimaCorporate, which focuses on orthopedic implants and patient-tailored hardware.
Globus Medical: Globus Medical develops, manufactures and distributes musculoskeletal devices. In February, Michael Gallizzi, MD, completed the first procedure using Globus Medical's Victory lumbar plate system at Vail Valley Hospital Center in Vail, Colo.
Medtronic: Medtronic is a medical device company that sells spine and orthopedic products, in addition to a variety of other materials. In March, the company launched the UNiD ePro service in the U.S., a data collection tool for spine surgeons.
OrthoPediatrics: OrthoPediatrics focuses on pediatric orthopedic products. In March, the company launched the Response rib and pelvic fixation system to treat children with early onset scoliosis.
Paragon 28: Paragon 28 focuses specifically on foot and ankle products. In November, the company launched the Beast cortical fibers, which are designed to complement surgical applications for foot and ankle procedures.
Smith+Nephew: Smith+Nephew focuses on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue. In March, the UFC and Smith+Nephew inked a multiyear marketing partnership.
Stryker: Stryker's orthopedic portfolio covers everything from sports medicine to food and ankle. In March, the company launched its Gamma4 hip fracture nailing system in Europe.
Think Surgical: Think Surgical develops and markets orthopedic robots. In February, the company announced its collaboration with b-One Ortho to add its implants to the TMini total knee replacement robot.
Zimmer Biomet: Zimmer Biomet offers orthopedic implants and digital technologies. In February, Zimmer Biomet earned FDA clearance for the Rosa Shoulder robot.
