Baltimore-based Mercy Medical Center is now offering Stryker's Blueprint mixed reality technology for shoulder replacements, the hospital said July 2.
The hospital is the first in the mid-Atlantic region to offer the technology, according to a news release. Gregory Gasbarro, MD, is the sixth surgeon in the U.S. to use Blueprint mixed reality.
The Blueprint mixed reality overlays 3D images to help surgeons have a direct view of the surgical site while also visualizing the preoperative plan.
