As the 2024-25 college football season gets set to kick off, here are the physicians who are set to provide orthopedic care for all 18 Big Ten Conference teams this year:
Illinois Fighting Illini: The Illini are cared for by five team physicians: Robert Bane, MD, Sara Dumich, MD, Jeremy Henrichs, MD, Amy MacDougall, MD, and Jerrad Zimmerman, MD.
Indiana Hoosiers: Anthony McPherron, MD, serves as chief orthopedic officer for the Hoosiers.
Iowa Hawkeyes: Brian Wolf, MD, serves as director of University of Iowa Sports Medicine and head team physician for Iowa athletics.
Maryland Terrapins: Yvette Rooks, MD, serves as head team physician for Maryland student athletes and leads the university's sports medicine department.
Michigan State Spartans: Jeff Kovan, MD, serves as head team physician for the Spartans, while Toufic Jildeh, MD, Micah Lissy, MD, and Sheeba Joseph, MD, serve as the team's orthopedic surgeons.
Michigan Wolverines: James Carpenter, MD, Eileen Crawford, MD, Matt Hartwell, MD, Emma Klostermann, MD, and Bruce Miller, MD, serve as orthopedic physicians for the Wolverines.
