Orthopedic devices earning FDA approval in 90 days

Here are six orthopedic devices and technologies that have received FDA clearance since July 23, as reported by Becker's

1. Naples, Fla.-based Catalyst OrthoSciences received FDA 501(k) clearance for its Catalyst Fracture Shoulder System.

2. Globus Medical expanded its orthopedic trauma product portfolio with a new wave of FDA clearances. 

3. 3D Systems earned FDA clearance for its Total Ankle Patient-Matched Guides, which can be used with Smith+Nephew’s Salto Tarlaris total ankle prosthesis and Cadence total ankle system.

4. Maxx Orthopedics earned FDA clearance for its Freedom Titan PCK revision knee system and entered into a strategic partnership with Unik Orthopedics. 

5. Surgical Planning Associates HipInsight 2.0 mixed-reality guidance system earned FDA 510(k) clearance.

6. Think Surgical earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its Tmini 1.1 software.
