New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery named Christopher Dunleavy as CFO, and he will step into the role Jan. 2.

Mr. Dunleavy will succeed Stacey Malakoff, who plans to retire in 2025, according to a news release. Mr. Dunleavy previously was CFO for larger healthcare systems including Boston-based Brigham Health, Dallas-based Baylor Health and USMD Holdings.

"I'm confident Chris will enable a springboard for our exceptional leaders to realize their potential, at an important moment of opportunity for our organization," HSS CEO Bryan Kelly, MD, said in the release. "Stacey will leave big shoes to fill, and we have tremendous opportunities to navigate."
