New England Baptist Hospital in Boston named Carl T. Talmo, MD, vice chairman, orthopedic research, according to a Wicked Local Newton report.

1. Dr. Talmo has been in practice at New England Baptist Hospital since 2006.
2. He is actively involved in the development of the NEBH Total Joint Registry.
3. His research interests also include pain management in total knee replacement, alignment in TKR and corrosion in total hip replacement.
4. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, New England Orthopedic Society and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
