The physician owners of Triangle Orthopaedics sold their ownership in the buildings at the North Carolina Specialty Hospital in north Durham and the practice's medical office building located across the street to Orlando REIT, according to the Triangle Business Journal.
Here are four things to know:
1. The deal is valued at $53.1 million.
2. Triangle Orthopaedics opened the 58,000-square-foot North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durhman in 2004. The facility is one of the largest in North Carolina.
3. The practice also owns a 63,148-square-foot medical office building across from the hospital.
4. The North Carolina Specialty Hospital is one of three hospitals in the state granted a five-star rating from Medicare.
