Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md., named Mychelle Shegog, MD; Audrey Tsao, MD, and Rinelda Horton, MD, winners of its annual Humanitarian Award.
Here are four notes:
1. The physicians were honored for providing care through programs coordinated by Women Orthopaedist Global Outreach, a nonprofit that addresses medical care needs for vulnerable communities.
2. The orthopedic surgeons practice with Rockville, Md.-based Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group.
3. Dr. Shegog focuses on sports medicine, Dr. Tsao on adult reconstruction and Dr. Horton on revision hip and knee surgery and complex primary joint replacements.
4. Suburban Hospital is one of Kaiser Permanente's hospital partners in the region and all three of the physicians provide care at the hospital.
