Surgeons at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, performed a total hip replacing surgery with a robotic arm system, according to WKBN 27.

1. Northside Medical is the first hospital in the area to perform hip surgery with the help of the robotic arm system.
2. The robotic arm guides surgeons' implant placements, improving accuracy.
3. The robot is designed to help reduce hip dislocation and increase leg symmetry.
4. Orthopedic surgeon James Kerrigan, MD, has performed nine hip replacements surgeries with the robotic arm.
5. Eight of the patients who underwent robotic hip replacement surgery reported little pain.
