Sanford Health's South University campus in Fargo, N.D., will become the site of Sanford Health's orthopedic and sports medicine specialty center in the next few years as the health system reshuffles its services, according to an Inforum report.

Here are four points:

1. Sanford Health will open its new $494 million Sanford Fargo Medical Center in 2017.

2. The new medical center will house 384 beds and 28 operating rooms. It will feature pediatric, trauma and heart services, among others.

3. Orthopedics and sports medicine will eventually be consolidated at the South University Drive campus. This will include both inpatient and outpatient services as well as hand surgery and podiatry.

4. The current Sanford Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center in Fargo will become the Brain and Spine Center as well as a pain clinic.
