Orthopedic surgeon and Army veteran Frank Nisenfeld, MD, provided care for veterans at his clinic, according to The Frederick News-Post.
Here are five observations:
1. Dr. Nisenfeld saw patents at the clinic he founded, the Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute in Frederick.
2. On Veterans Day, Dr. Nisenfeld and his colleagues administered free exams for 28 veterans.
3. The clinic is comprised of 13 physicians at the Frederick office, and nearly 140 employees in its locations in Frederick, Hagerstown and Urbana.
4. Dr. Nisenfeld works with Department of Veterans Affairs' Fort Detrick outpatient clinic to offer provide services there on a volunteer basis.
5. Although he retired in January, Dr. Nisenfeld sees patients twice a week at the Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute.
