OrthoAtlanta recently announced the hiring of Jeffrey Smith, MD, to its staff. Here's what you should know.
1. Dr. Smith is specialized in both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for foot and ankle pain, injury and disease.
2. Dr. Smith has a special interest in sports medicine, and is trained in a variety of techniques including: arthroscopic, minimally invasive surgery and open techniques to correct deformity, preserve and remove cartilage and return normal function to the foot.
3. Dr. Smith graduated from medical school and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. He had an internship at the Atlanta Medical Center. He had a fellowship at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Florida.
4. Dr. Smith is affiliated with several national surgical societies.
5. Dr. Smith will serve the northern metropolitan areas of Atlanta.
