The Petoskey-based hospital McLaren Northern Michigan has added Austin McPhilamy, MD, to its orthopedic team, according to the Petoskey News-Review.
Here are three things to know about Dr. McPhilamy:
1. His clinical specialties include hip replacement, knee replacement and orthopedic fracture treatment.
2. He told the Petoskey News-Review that he will focus on providing trauma care to the northern Michigan community.
3. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He went on to complete his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He recently finished his fellowship training in orthopedic trauma in Reno, Nev.
