Pamela Mehta, MD, has joined the Sacramento-based surgical hospitalist company Surgical Affiliates Management Group as the chief of orthopedic surgery, according to India West.

1. Chief of orthopedic surgery is a new position at the company.
2. Prior to joining Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Dr. Mehta practiced at the Sacramento-based Northern California Orthopaedic Associates.
3. Dr. Mehta earned her medical degree at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. She went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia University in New York City.
