C. Scott Humphrey, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Humphrey Shoulder Clinic in Eagle, Idaho. Dr. Humphrey is the director of the clinic, which he founded in September 2006 as the Boise Shoulder Clinic.
He specializes in shoulder surgery, with expertise in shoulder arthroscopy, reverse shoulder replacement, total shoulder replacement and rotator cuff repair, among other procedures. Outside of Humphrey Shoulder Clinic, Dr. Humphrey serves as the chief innovation officer and surgeon design team leader at Waxhaw, N.C.-based Shoulder Options, which he founded in 2007. His research has been published in various medical journals, including Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Techniques in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery and Techniques in Orthopaedics.
Dr. Humphrey earned his medical degree from University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He went on to do an orthopedic surgery residency at a combined program between University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University, both in Omaha, Neb. He completed a shoulder and upper extremity surgery fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
