Orthopedic surgeon Patrick Halpin, MD, is retiring after a lengthy career, according to Thurston Talk.
Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Halpin has practiced in the Olympia community for the past 26 years.
2. Dr. Halpin came to Olympia in 1991 after practicing in Moses Lake, Wash., for 10 years.
3. In 1997, he merged with colleagues to form what is now Olympia Orthopaedic Associates.
4. New total joint replacement patients will be referred to Milan Moore, MD, who will take over Dr. Halpin's practice after joining in April, and other practice physicians.
5. Dr. Halpin has served as president of the Washington State Orthopaedic Association and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
