Brian Wallace, DO, performed the first reverse shoulder surgery at Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida in Naples.
Dr. Wallace performed the procedure at Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida, a part of Landmark's two-hospital system. The hospital includes four surgical suites and 50 private patient rooms. In the reverse shoulder arthroplasty procedure, the surgeon fixes a metal ball to the socket and plastic cup to the upper end of the humerus so the deltoid muscle shifts arm position.
Dr. Wallace is a surgeon with Naples-based Seaside Surgery Center and Joint Replacement Institute. He has an interest in shoulder, elbow and knee surgery as well as extensive training in joint reconstruction.
