David Gentile, MD, of Professional Orthopaedic Associates in Tinton Falls, N.J., lectured to Madison, N.J.-based Drew University anatomy and physiology students.

1. Dr. Gentile covered rotator cuff disease, bicep injuries, labral injuries and shoulder instability in his lecture.
2. Additionally, Dr. Gentile spoke about a typical day for orthopedic surgeons, including seeing patients, dictating notes, providing orthopedic hospital rounds, performing surgery and providing on-site medical coverage at athletic events.
3. Dr. Gentile specializes in shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and knee care as well as sports medicine. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
4. After earning his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, Dr. Gentile completed his residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Brand, N.J. He underwent fellowship training at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
