Brian Cole, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
Dr. Cole is a professor in the department of orthopedics with a conjoint appointment in the department of anatomy and cell biology at Rush University Medical Center. He is also chairman of surgery at Rush Oak Park
Hospital in Chicago, with research interests in cartilage transplantation, rotator cuff healing and shoulder instability.
Dr. Cole is the Chicago Bulls head team physician and a team physician for the Chicago White Sox and DePaul University in Chicago. He was named NBA Team Physician of the Year in 2009.
A graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Cole completed a residency in orthopedics at Hospital for Special Surgery's Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He completed a sports
medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
