Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Brian Parsley of University of Texas Health Science Center

Brian Parsley, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Houston-based University of Texas Health Science Center.

A Houston native, Dr. Parsley performs more than 350 joint replacement surgeries annually. He has served as a clinical associate professor and adult reconstruction fellowship director in the department of orthopedic surgery at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Parsley's professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association and Texas Medical Association. From 2014 to 2015, he was the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons' president.

Dr. Parsley graduated from the Houston-based University of Texas Medical School, where he also completed a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency. He underwent fellowship training at the Anderson Orthopedic Research Institute in Arlington, Va.
