Nikhil Verma, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
Performing more than 500 procedures each year, Dr. Verma serves as the sports medicine division director and sports medicine fellowship program director at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He is also a team physician for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls and Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, Ill.
Dr. Verma is an associate editor of Arthroscopy Journal, with other professional affiliations including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Shoulder and Elbow Society and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
He was named a Top Doctor in 2012 by Chicago Magazine and was voted among the Top Doctors in America by U.S. News & World Report and Castle Connolly in 2013.
A graduate of Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Verma completed an orthopedic residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. He underwent fellowship training at the New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
