Kevin Black, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Penn State Health/Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center.
In 1987, Dr. Black began his career at the Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin and developed the school's sports medicine program. Dr. Black was the Green Bay Packers' orthopedic consultant from 1990 to 1992.
He went on to serve as course director for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' longest running continuing medical education program from 2007 through 2013 and became the American Orthopaedic Association's executive committee president in 2015.
Throughout his career, Dr. Black has received multiple honors, including the Distinguished Educator Award in 2011.
Dr. Black graduated from and completed a residency at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) School of Medicine & Dentistry. He completed an internship at New York University Medical Center in New York City and underwent fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
