James Tibone, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
With 45 years of experience, Dr. Tibone has been featured in The Leading Physicians of the World publication and voted a Super Doctor multiple times by Los Angeles Magazine.
Dr. Tibone has served as an orthopedic consultant to numerous professional sports teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lakers, Kings and Angels of Anaheim.
His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society and Gibbon Surgical Society.
Dr. Tibone earned his medical doctorate at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Medical College before completing both an internship and residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif. He underwent fellowship training at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
